More SD40-2

 I was pleasantly surprised to find NS  3263 (nee-SOU 3263), another LaGrange graduate from the Class of '78 still out working as if it was 1980 on this rainy (but warm) Friday afternoon in March, looking and sounding as good as ever.  The last three Saturdays had been pretty busy at Devine Jct. However, today was as quiet as a really small town on a Sunday morning. The one train I knew I could depend on, however, was the NS P75. It did not disappoint. On the point was a pair of ex-SOU SD40-2s, both built in January of 1978. I hope that they manage to stay on the roster at least a little while longer! In the cab was one of the friendliest crews I've encountered in a bit, with both making a point to wave at me. Please click the thumbnail, watch, and enjoy. Thanks! 

  The beauty at the point of P75 rolled out of LaGrange on a hot July day in 1974 as N&W 1639, a high hood SD40-2. And she's still pulling like a champ nearly half a century later, although her days may sadly be numbered, at least on NS. Enjoy her while we still can. This video is short, but sweet.
